Needing Homes

Teddy is a red and white working cocker who is four and a half years old. 

He is a much loved and well cared for cocker who loves nothing more than to go on long walks. He is very affectionate and responsive to training.

Teddy stayed with a new dog sitter and it is possible that he was mishandled. On his return home he was less confident and there have been a couple of bite incidents over a couple of years. Added to this, there is family ill health and a new baby imminent. Therefore, it was felt that he was no longer in the best environment for him.

Teddy has a skin sensitivity that requires daily medication.

Teddy is currently in a foster home where the foster carers have been observing his behaviour. They have quickly established that he is a wonderful dog who enjoys going to the pub! He is learning recall. He can be stubborn but with consistency is really thriving. He travels well, but is not keen on getting in the car. Treats and patience are helping him build his confidence with the car. Teddy does not like to be disturbed when he is sleeping - this is the only time that he has been naughty while in his foster home.

He had a vet check and was superb with the vet even with some very thorough examinations! 

Teddy is currently sharing his foster home with two other working breed dogs and once they decided a pecking order got on well. However, Teddy is also very happy as an only dog where he can have his family all to himself.

We will not rehome Teddy with children under 16 years of age.
